Roland Wold, 58, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, July 3, 2006 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2006 at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Tim McGee officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernards Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2006 from 5-7 PM at St. Bernards Catholic Church with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday.

Roland Duane Wold was born July 20, 1947 at Roseau, MN, the son of Redval and Clarice (Johnson) Wold. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church, Badger, MN. He attended Badger Elementary School and graduated from Badger High School in 1965.

On November 7, 1970, Roland was united in marriage to Rose M. Berberich at St. Josephs Church, Brooks, MN. He was employed at Badger Creamery and Roseau Creamery from 1965-1971. Roland then went to work for Bridgemans Creamery in Thief River Falls, MN, from 1971 to 2005. He retired December 2005 due to illness.

Roland was a member of St. Bernards Church, Thief River Falls, MN and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and spending time at the lake with his friends. He was involved with the Civil Air Patrol, the TRF Jaycees and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandkids and being Papa to the daycare kids.

He is survived by loving wife, Rose, Thief River Falls, MN; 2 children, Rosalind (Mike) Reishus, Dilworth, MN and Ryan, Roseau, MN; 2 grandchildren, Ellie and Will; special aunt, Gladys Paulson, Badger, MN; aunt, Joanne (Dean) Wicklander, Texas and uncles, Duane (Janet) Johnson, Washington and Gene (Donna) Johnson, Fargo, ND; mother-in-law, Delores Berberich, Erskine, MN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ione (Clarence) Kostrzewski, Stephen, MN, Robert (Eleanor) Berberich, Fargo, ND, Mark (Sue) Berberich, Oklee, MN, Charlene (Poncho) Gagner, Brooks, MN, Karen (John) Larson, Brooks, MN, Jeff (Anita) Capp, Larimore, ND, Vicki (Joe) St. Marie, Red Lake Falls, MN and Randy Berberich, Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law, Roxanne Berberich, Karlstad, MN and JoAnn Berberich, Audubon, MN and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Roland is preceded in death by parents and grandparents; father-in-law, Fred Berberich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerome Berberich, Jean and Ron Peterson, Roger Berberich and Jacqueline Berberich and a nephew, Tommy Gagner.
