Ron Brian Soiney, 43, died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Private family services will be held.

Ron Brian Soiney was born in Thief River Falls on January 7, 1964 to George and Ardith (Hartman) Soiney. He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1982. Ron was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He worked as a truck driver for 14 years most recently for S&S Trucking out of Grand Forks and as a self-employed farmer.

Ron had an engrained knack for fixing things. He enjoyed welding and carpentry work as well as metal fabrication. Ron especially loved animals including his prized twin German Shepherds Bambi and Thumper.

During the summer months Ron would spend time riding his motorcycle and in the winter he could usually be found snowmobiling up at Lake of the Woods. He also found enjoyment in gardening, reading, and traveling. Ron will be remembered as a genuine caregiver and will be deeply missed.

Ron is survived by his mother Ardith of Thief River Falls; brother Ross of Warroad, MN; nephews, Nick and Ryan; and many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by father George; brother Wesley; 5 uncles and 5 aunts.
