Ronald Omlid, 61, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will be at Rosebud Cemetery, Thorhult, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Monday, August 28, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service on Tuesday.

Ronald Omlid was born August 16, 1945 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Paul and Hazel (Johnson) Omlid. He was baptized and confirmed at Ekelund Lutheran Church and attended Goodridge School.

On May 23, 1998, Ronald was united in marriage to Lynell Olson at Goodridge.

He was employed in road construction, but mostly was a jack of all trades . He also did some roofing.
Ronald liked to listen to Blues and Country music. He liked horses and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved spending time with Adele during her summertime visits.

Ronald is survived by wife, Lynell, Thief River Falls, MN; children Jeremy Olson, Ranchester, WY and Angie (Steve) Majeres, Glenwood Springs, CO; step daughter Jan Olson, Sheridan, WY; Step son Jason Bass, Sheridan, WY; 2 grandchildren: Ihle Majeres, and Tanner Olson; step grandson Riley Bass, step granddaughter Adele Olson, sisters Phyllis (Billy) Wikert, Thorhult, MN and Linda (John) Broeker, Eden Prairie, MN; a brother: Clayton (Shirley) Omlid, Isanti, MN.

He is preceded in death by parents, sister, Elaine Christensen, brother, Johnnie and step-father, Ernest Huot.
