Ronald Osmondson of Red Lake Falls, MN age 60, died on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN with his loving family at his side. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM service on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Cemetery, Wylie, MN. Ronald Owen Osmondson was born on February 22, 1955 the son of Conrad and Olga (Bakke) Osmondson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Union Lake Lutheran Church and attended school in Fertile, MN graduating with the class of 1973. On March 17, 1978, Ron was united in marriage to Betty Landman at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Red Lake Falls and to this union four children were born, Sharleen, Kevin, Ryan and Kristin. Betty passed away in 2001. Ron worked at Wang Trucking, Bradshaw Gravel and most recently at Homark Homes in Red Lake Falls. On November 30, 2002, Ron was united in marriage to Marlys Olson at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls. The couple continued to live and enjoy life in Red Lake Falls together until Marlys passed away on May 28, 2012. Ron enjoyed 4-wheeling and camping at the family farm, playing with his dog Ella, relaxing on his deck, playing with his grandchildren and cookouts with his family. Ron was always there to help someone in need and he also liked to joke around and give people grief. Survivors include his four children, Sharleen (Ira) Hill of Erskine, MN, Kevin (Jennifer) Osmondson of West Fargo, ND, Ryan Osmondson of Erskine, MN and Kristin (Scott) Hornbuckle of Erskine, MN; six grandchildren, Calvin & Jon Hill, Arianna, Jocelyn & Kathryn Osmondson, and Riley Kochmann; special friend, Rose Heater of Red Lake Falls, MN; two brothers, Jerry (Carol) Osmondson of Fertile, MN and Greg Osmondson of Maple Bay, MN; sister-in-law, Carol Osmondson of Fertile, MN; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his two wives, Betty and Marlys; parents; sister, Linda Osmondson; and brother, Roger Osmondson.
