Ronald Waldal of Red Lake Falls, MN  passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.

Funeral for Ronald will be held   1:00 PM on Friday August 4, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Military honors will be held at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be held at Emardville Cemetery near Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Ronald Leroy Waldal was born April 13, 1948 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Lawrence and Emma (Tranby) Waldal. He was raised at Plummer, MN graduating from Pershing High school class of 1966. He moved to Milwaukee, WI and worked for Ladish.

Ron joined the US Army in 1969, being stationed in Korea, serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1971. Following his discharge he returned to Milwaukee and worked for Ladish for 25 years. Ron owned and operated a bar  "Ka Hoots" in Round Lake Park, Il for many years before returning to the Plummer area. He worked at Hugo's and Digi Key the past few years.

Ron is survived by his siblings Harold (Bev) Waldal. Joyce (Jim) Kalbakdalen, Betty (Oscar) Degelder, Larry Sr. Waldal and Ken (Judy) Waldal; along with several nieces and nephews.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Emma Waldal, brother Melvin Waldal, sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Dennis) Rau, and sister-in-law Lana Waldal.
