Rose Needham, 70, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 19, 2002 at St. Bernards Catholic Church with Father Tim McGee officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernards Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Thursday, July 18, 2002 at Johnson-Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, MN with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Rose Marie Reese was born January 13, 1932 at Badger, MN to the late William and Mary (Foster) Reese. She grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls, receiving her GED in 1965.
On April 15, 1950, Rose was united in marriage to Edward Needham at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Beltrami County on the west end of the Red Lake Indian Reservation where they operated an Indian Arts and Craft Shop on their farm. Rose worked 2½ years at the Heritage Community Center in Thief River Falls and for the last 6 months at the Seven Clans Casino gift shop.
Rose enjoyed sewing, gardening, collecting angels, antiques and crafts and baking and cooking. She also made Indian and wildlife ceramics and crafts. Rose did a lot of volunteer work for the church, hospice and other various community services.
Survivors include daughters, Debra Needham, Fargo, ND and Cynthia Cervin (Shawn Peden), Spokane, WA; son, Michael (Sue), Devils, Lake, ND; six grandchildren: Terra (James) Linn, Michele (Kevin) Zacha, Rachel (Ryan) Hunsaker, Brock Needham, Seth (April) Cervin and Scott Needham; six great grandchildren, Brittnee, Jordan, Shannon, Jacob, Hunter and Rourke; six brothers, Jim, Bernard, Ronnie, Ambrose, Charles and Matthew Reese.
Preceded in death by husband, Edward on August 6, 1999 and parents.
