Obituary





Rose Tvedt, 84, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, February 19, 2001 at her home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Dennis Wieland Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:30 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Rose Cook was born June 1, 1916 at Burkey, ND daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Tenens-Kremers) Cook. The family moved to Oklee, MN in 1928, Rose was 12 years old. On August 10, 1936 Rose was united in marriage to Henry Tvedt Sr. in Oklee, MN. They lived in Oklee and moved to Red Lake Falls in 1941. They moved into the home she still resided in, on October 11, 1944. She stayed at Home to raise her sons. Her pastimes included her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, gardening, flowers and playing cards. Henry Sr. passed away December 27, 1988.
She is survived by her sons Henry Jr. (Florence) Tvedt of Plummer, MN; Kenneth (Marilyn) Tvedt of Wrenshall, MN; Ole (Karen) Tvedt of Red Lake Falls, MN; Joseph (Darlene) Tvedt of Cloquet, MN; James (Linda) Tvedt of Red Lake Falls and John (Mary) Tvedt of Mentor,MN. 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren: two sisters-in-law Fran Cook of Cloquet, MN and Lucy Kremers of Upsella, MN: many nieces and nephews.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband Henry Sr. son Jerome, two great-granddaughters, her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
