Roy Bakke, 90 of Newfolden, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Valley Home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service to celebrate Roy's life will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Westaker Free Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westaker Cemetery, New Folden Township, Marshall County, MN.

Roy Bakke was born January 8, 1931 to the late John and Randine (Haugen) Bakke. He was baptized and confirmed at Westaker Free Lutheran Church and attended Poplar Lane School. He made his home on the family farm where he was born and farmed with his father and brother. They raised grain and had cattle, chickens and pigs.

He enjoyed polka music, playing the accordion and visiting with family and friends.

Roy was a member of Westaker Free Lutheran Church in Newfolden.

He is survived by nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Magnus, Raymond and Harlan; sisters, Jennie Miller, Myrtle Hall and Gladys Loeffler.
