Roy Dennis Jablinske Bumps died on Saturday morning, February 9, 2008 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robbins, Georgia.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.
Roy Dennis Jablinske was born November 1, 1938 in Thief River Falls, MN. He was raised in Thief River Falls where he attended school. Roy was in the United States Army for one year. On January 17, 1958, Roy was united in marriage to Sharon Lull. To this union they had four children, Kurt, Kari, Kim and Kordel. They made their home near Rosewood, MN for numerous years before moving into Thief River Falls. Roy drove milk truck, worked at Northwest Exsu, Gopher Redi-mix, the Co-op Creamery, was part owner and operator at Jand B Gravel, and held other jobs in the area. He and Sharon also owned and operated Four Ks Western Shop. Sharon passed away September 15, 2005.
Roy was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.
Roy enjoyed time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roy was an avid antique collector, he loved going to flea markets and playing the dollar slots at the casino. He cherished his gun collection. Roy had a passion for horses. Roy loved feeding and watching the birds, he enjoyed tormenting the squirrels by spraying the poles to the bird feeders with WD40 and watching them slide down. He looked forward to visiting his friends at the Pawn Shop and different antique shops around town.
Left to mourn his passing are his four children, Kurt of Goodridge, Kari Olson of Grand Forks, ND, Kim Wibbels of McIntosh, and Kordel of Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Josh, Jenna, Mickaila (Tory), Shay, Casey, Darian, Chantel, and Jordyn; great grandchildren, Jayden and Riley; sisters, Marlene (Duane) Kuzel of Grand Forks, ND, Shirley (Harvey) Hemmestvedt of Thief River Falls, Beverly Jablinske of Red Lake Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Gayle Langevin of Tuscon, AZ; fianc, Sharon Morris of Warner Robbins, GA; and Mona Johnson, a special friend, whom he considered a daughter, (one of his own), of Hastings, MN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by Sharon, his loving wife of 47 ½ years; great granddaughter, Kailee Jade; and brothers-in-law, Chet Nessen and Richard Langevin.
