Roy Manderud, 64, of Karlstad, MN, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND, with his son by his side on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with an 11:30 AM Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Roy James Manderud was born on July 25, 1953 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Rudolph and Delores (Campbell) Manderud. He attended school in Thief River Falls.

Roy was employed at Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls for many years. He became an over-the-road truck driver and drove for many companies in the surrounding area.

Roy enjoyed going to the Greenbush Race Park and working on cars. He was an amazing father and will be missed.

Roy is survived by his brother, Walter Manderud of Crookston, MN; his sons, Chad Manderud of Stephen, MN, James (Fallon) Manderud of Centerville, TX, and Jeffrey (Nikki) Manderud of Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren; niece and nephews, and several other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen and his sister, Vivian.
