Rubert Wolfgram, 82, died on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Radium, MN with Reverend Thomas Zeller officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2005 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Rubert Lex Wolfgram was born on March 15, 1923, the son of Theophil and Charlotte (Herman) Wolfgram. He was baptized in April, 1923 in Niagara, ND and confirmed on August 22, 1937 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. When Rubert was nine years old, in 1932, the family bought their farm in Rocksbury Township, Pennington County and Rubert attended school in Rocksbury Township.
Rubert lived and worked on the family farm. He loved gardening and sold and gave his vegetables to many people in the area. He also enjoyed woodworking in his later years. Rubert was very musical and could play several instruments, mostly the accordion and mouth organ and enjoyed singing second tenor in church.
He moved to the Highrise in Thief River Falls in 2001 and then to Valley Home in December of 2004 and to Oakland Park Nursing Home in March of 2005.
He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls until joining Immanuel Lutheran Church at Radium in 2003.
Rubert is survived by one sister, Esther Charlotte Fuller of Thief River Falls, MN; nephews and nieces: Herb (Judy) Fuller of International Falls, MN, Raymond (Mary) Fuller of Thief River Falls, MN, Shirley (Larry) Inman of Holt, MN, Donna (Richard) Parnow of Goodridge, MN, Gail Holmes of Middle River, MN and Jim Fuller of Thief River Falls, MN. He was a good neighbor, relative and friend and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Donald Fuller, and one nephew, Steve Holmes.
