Ruth Gilbertson, 80, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Ruth Gilbertson (Knutson) was born September 26, 1925 in Browerville, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Hilda (Kettleson) Knutson. She attended school in Strathcona and Menahga, MN.

On December 22, 1941, Ruth was united in marriage to Ernest Gilbertson in Brookings, SD. They moved and lived at Crookston, MN until 1975 and then moved to Milbank, SD until retirement in 1982. They then moved to Thief River Falls.

Ruth especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a good wife, mother and grandmother.

Ruth is survived by daughters, Gloria Gilbertson, Grand Forks, ND and Shirley (Danny) Farden, Grants Pass, OR; sons, Russell (Ramona), Shevlin, MN and Dennis (Linda), Warroad, MN; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Ernest, a daughter, Bonnie, a granddaughter, parents, four sisters and a brother.
