Ruth Sauve, 93, passed away peacefully in Apple Valley, MN, on October 2nd 2011.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Terrebonne, MN.

Visitation will be from 5-8 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.

Ruth Gentry was born March 30, 1918 in Cookeville, Tennessee to James A and Alva C. Gentry.  She grew up in Huntington Beach CA.  She attended school and graduated from Huntington Beach.

Ruth was united in marriage to Pascal Mabery in 1935 and to this union one son James was born.  He died in 1936.  Ruth was later married to Armond Sauve on May 2, 1937 in Costa Mesa, CA.  They moved to Thief River Falls in 1939.  To this union five children, Larry, Barb, Lynn, Robert and Ken were born.

Ruth worked as nursing assistant at Thief River Falls Hospital for many years.  Ruth also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and cooking.  She moved to Apple Valley in 2005.

Survived by: Children, James (Sharon) Mabery, Sierra Vista, AZ. Larry (Marce) Sauve, St. Hilaire, MN. Barb Sauve, Minneapolis, MN.  Lynn (Glen) Pirie, Apple Valley, MN., five grandchildren, Brian (Meredith) Mabery, Phoenix, AZ,  Jason (Stacy) Sauve, Thief River Falls, Kelly (Jay) Holm,  East Grand Forks and Adam Sauve, Savage, MN.  and nine great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Armond Sauve of 50 years, and Pascal Mabery, two sons Robert and Ken and grandson Bret Sauve.  We love you Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma.  She will be missed by many.
