Sandra Berry, 55, of Thief River Falls, MN, a good friend, loyal worker & kind soul, died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN and also at the church for one hour prior to the service. Sandra Marie Berry was born on May 14, 1957 in Thief River Falls, MN to Ernest and Mary Lou (Crawford) Berry. She grew up and attended Northrup Elementary, Lincoln High School graduating in 1975, and attended the AVTI for Clerical Training. Sandy worked at Thorp Loan and Thrift, Norwest Bank, and for the past 27 years was a proud employee of Northern State Bank, all as a personal banker in Thief River Falls. Sandy was a life-long member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church where she participated in church choir and for several years worked with the Diocesan Annual Appeal. She was a member of the hospital auxiliary. She enjoyed volleyball, children of all ages, her niece, Katie and nephew, Andy, visiting with best friends, Twila Rolf, June & John Sundberg, Robyn Martineau, Tyla Pream (her God-daughter), Jodi & Brian Larson, Tom & Lucy Scholin, the Meekma & Strand families. Her home away from home was her family and friends at Northern State Bank, particularly her longtime co-workers and friends: Kathy Vatthauer, Evie Johnson, Carol Audette, Vivian Knutson and Christy Johnson. Sandy is survived by her brother, Steve (Rita) Berry of Walker, MN; her nephew, Rev. Andy (Rachel) Berry of Littlefork, MN; niece, Katie Berry of Fargo, ND; cousins; aunts, Vivian Kees of Grand Forks, ND; and Lillian Berry of Thief River Falls, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and her best friend, Jodi Larson.
