Sandra Lynn Meyer, 53, died Friday, October 18, 2002 as a result of a car accident near Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at St. John Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Donald Kirchner officiating. Burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation was held at Johnson Green Funeral Service on Monday, October 21, 2002.

Sandra Lynn Holmgren was born on July 22, 1949 at Roseau, MN, the daughter of Axel Hilding and Caroline Rosella (Miovac) Holmgren. She was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Osakis, MN. She grew up and attended Salol School and Roseau Elementary School, and also attended High School at Long Prairie, MN.

Sandy was united in marriage to Jerry Moyer in 1969 in Osakis, MN and to Paul Meyer at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, MN on September 6, 1982. She worked for Roseau Childrens Home, Marvins in Warroad, MN and Arctic Cat and Nopers Motel in Thief River Falls, MN. Sandra also worked at the Good Samaritan Center in Warren and more recently at 7 Clans Casino in Thief River Falls. She helped on the farm near Warren for 13 years.

Sandy enjoyed traveling, going to rummage sales, flower gardening, stockcar races, craft work and very much enjoyed listening and dancing to her favorite band the Needham Twins. She loved to fish, but didnt like to bait the hook or touch the fish. She loved to go to the casino and play the slots. She especially liked baking and cooking for her grandchildren and also attending most of her children and grandchildrens basketball games.

Survivors include husband Paul, Warren, MN; children Brian (special friend, Kari Johnson) Moyer, Thief River Falls, MN, Kim (Arthur) Panick, Grand Forks AFB, ND, and Patti Meyer, Warren, MN, grandchildren, Kayla, Krista and Brandi, special friend Duane Anderson, Thief River Falls, MN, sisters, Sharon Rowley, Sharon, ND, Karen (Bob) Sprynczynatyk, Bismarck, ND, Deb (Bob) Martell, St. Hilaire, MN, and Wanda (Bill) Hillyer, Thief River Falls, MN, brothers Gary (Jen) Holmgren, St. Hilaire, MN, and David (special friend Adeline Olson) Holmgren, Thief River Falls, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Pat, brothers Wayne, Darrell, and Gale, niece Marriah, nephew Mark Groslie, grandparents, 2 aunts and 7 uncles.
