Scott Randall Langlie was born February 18, 1961 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Howard and Ruby (Busse) Langlie. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and graduated in 1979. He attended technical school in Staples, MN and received a degree in Tool and Die.

Scott had three pivotal relationships in his life. For 11 years, he was married to Margo (Nilson) Harris and they had two children: Shanon Marie and Joshua Howard. Later, he met Sherry Jose Sobolik. They spent 8 years together and were blessed with a daughter, Samantha Jo. For the past 19 years Scott and Kristi have been sharing their lives together in Thief River Falls, MN.

Scott was employed at Arctic Cat for nearly 23 years, most recently in supply chain working as a new product introduction manager. Prior to Arctic Cat, he worked at Superior Engineering and Idea Company in North Branch, MN.

He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, hockey, bowling, and was a passionate Minnesota Vikings, Wild and Twins fan. He loved to work and play with his dog "Dove." He was a man of many talents; he could fix anything. Scott was always willing to lend a hand to anybody for anything, especially for his family. Scott was quick to laugh and this infectious laugh would fill up his friends' and families' hearts.

Scott is survived by his longtime love Kristi Hallstrom, mother Ruby Langlie of Thief River Falls, MN, his children: Shanon Langlie of Riverside, CA, Joshua (Tracy) Langlie of Salt Lake City, UT and Samantha Langlie of Duluth, MN. He is also survived by his siblings Lynette (Jack) Johnson, Roxanne (Tom) Nepper, Cindy (Glenn) Fjelsted, Jeff (Mary Jo) Langlie and Rick (Dawn) Langlie along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Langlie.

Scott Langlie, of Thief River Falls, MN died suddenly of a heart attack in his sleep on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN at the age of 56 years, 10 months and 6 days. May his memory be blessed.
