Sebastian James Terrence Cooley was born September 7, 2001, in Grand Forks, ND, the son of James Terrence Cooley Jr. and Renae Ann (Slininger) Cooley. Sebastian lived in Thief River Falls, MN until October 17, 2003 when he was diagnosed with cancer. He has spent the remainder of his life at St. Marys Hospital and at his new home in Kasson, MN.

James spent his life playing, laughing, and making new friends all over.

Survived by parents, James of Thief River Falls, MN; Renae Cooley of Kasson, MN; one brother, Keneth Strand, Jr., four sisters, Katie Strand, Kasson, MN; Cearra Strand, Kasson, MN; Kortney Cooley, Rochester, MN; and Samantha Cooley, Mankato, MN; grandparents, Shirley and Ralph Slininger, Thief River Falls, MN; Linda Cooley, Orange County, CA; great grandmother Alma Gagner, Red Lake Falls, MN. He is also survived by cousins, uncles, and aunts.

Preceded in death by an older brother Andrew Slininger, and paternal grandfather James Cooley.
