Senora Elseth, 79, died on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN with Pastor Ollie Urdahl officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Newfolden, MN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 18, 2002 at the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Friday evening and at the church for one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Senora Judith Tunheim was born on December 2, 1922 in Newfolden, MN, the daughter of Oscar and Amanda (Johnson) Tunheim. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Wildwood Country School and Newfolden High School, graduating in 1940. Following High School she received her LPN certificate.

Senora was united in marriage to Lester Klemence Elseth on November 17, 1945 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of New Solum.

Senora was a nurse, a farm wife, worked at Arctic Cat, Green Thumb, was Senior Center cook and relief cook and was also self employed making lefse and donuts.

She loved flowers and gardening, canning and baking, making quilts and helping others. Senora loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved attending sporting events, especially basketball games when her grandchildren were playing.

She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, where she had served as President and project future.

Senora is survived by four children: sons: Bruce (Connie) Elseth, Deland (Joy) Elseth, both of Newfolden, MN and Leon (Joyce) Elseth of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Sheila (Vernon) Nelson of Newfolden, MN; 13 grandchildren: Tracy (Wayne) Hjelle, Philip (Lisa) Sillanpaa, Dayton Elseth, Chad (Angela) Elseth, Shannon (Darren) Brehmer, Travis Elseth, Scott Nelson, Nicole (Gary) Homme, Jeremy (Fiance`, Renae) Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Tal (Wendy) Elseth, Troy Elseth and Jacob Elseth; seven great grandchildren: Alexis Homme, Benjamin and Luke Elseth, Jessica and Austin Hjelle, Jeffrey and Emily Sillanpaa; and sister-in-law, Lucille Tunheim.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester on June 1, 1991; her parents; one great grandson, Zachary Homme; and one brother, Raymond Tunheim.
