IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Ann
Brahosky
August 27, 1939 – February 18, 2021
Sharon Brahosky, 81, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center.
Private family services will be held on April 9, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will follow at the Viking Cemetery.
Sharon Berg was born August 27, 1939 in Thief River Falls, MN to Edward & Gertrude Berg of Viking, MN. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Viking, MN. She attended a country school and then attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.
In 1954 she was united in marriage to Benton Hible and had two children: Dan Hible (Ann) and Patty Lyson (Steve). In 1969 she married John Brahosky, the love of her life, who she spent the rest of her life with until his passing in 2006.
She worked at several places in Thief River Falls including, Arctic Cat, 1st National Bank, JC Penney, and K-Mart. Sharon and John enjoyed transporting new motorhomes to dealerships across the country. She worked for her close friend Roz in the pull tab booth at the Rusty Nail and volunteered at The Heritage Center as gambling manager for Senior BINGO.
Sharon loved playing golf and bowling. Some of her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, oil painting, crossword puzzles, bingo, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. We always joked about not calling her during her shows... Ha!
She ran what the family called "Gramma B's Taxi Service". With several grand and great grandkids, she was always available for last minute transport duties, taking the kids to and from events. She called it her "quality time" because the kids would chat away with her on their quick rides.
Sharon got the nickname of "Gramma B" because the grands couldn't pronounce "Brahosky" when they were little.
The one thing in life that she enjoyed most was sitting back and watching her family enjoy and experience life. She was famous for sharing her wonderful banana bread and Swedish meatballs at family gatherings.
Sharon was a very loving person and always had a smile on her face.
