Sharon Davidson of Holt, MN, age 66, died peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, ND with her loving family at her side. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Cathie Rhodes and Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating. Burial will follow at Holt Cemetery in Holt, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt, MN with Rev. Sheila Michaels officiating. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Sharon Ann (Ryba) Davidson was born on February 2, 1948 in Park River, ND, the daughter of Ernest and Elsie (Lien) Ryba. The family moved from Park River to a farmstead near Middle River when Sharon was a young girl. She attended school in Middle River, MN, where she graduated in 1966. Following high school Sharon worked at A & W and Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls. On June 10, 1967 Sharon was united in marriage to Ronald Davidson at First Lutheran Church in Middle River, MN. They made their home in Holt, MN, where they continued to reside. They started their family with the blessing of their children Kevin, Corey, and Kim. Sharon was a stay-at-home mom for several years until she attended college at the AVTI in Thief River Falls, graduating with a Cosmetology Degree in 1980. Throughout the years Sharon made many friends working as a hairdresser in her home, at Digi-Key, and bookkeeping for the family business, Davidson Construction. In the mid 90's Sharon's health started to fail and in 1998 she was blessed to receive a kidney from her brother, Gary. For the next 12 years she was very healthy and enjoyed life, her family, grandchildren, church family, and friends. Sharon will be remembered for her love and dedication to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes included flower gardening, sewing, quilting, home decorating, shopping, going to the lake cabin, visiting with family and friends, and attending the grandchildren's events and activities. As an adult Sharon was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Holt, MN, where she continued to be an active member. She was a member of the Mary Circle and WELCA where she made many lifelong friendships. In June of 2010, Sharon suffered an aortic aneurism which has led to her failing health over the last several years. Her love of life, family, and her strong will to live allowed her to enjoy every moment she had. Sharon was able to enjoy her last Christmas with her family by her side. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Sharon is survived by her loving husband Ronald; sons, Kevin (Patty) and children Chelsey, Kaylee, and Cole, Corey (special friend Laura) and children Ashli, Corli, Riley, and Brinli, and daughter Kim Nelson all of Holt, MN; brothers Roger (LeMae) Ryba, Middle River, MN, Gary (Jackie) Ryba, Roseau, MN, Arnie Ryba, Thief River Falls, MN; sisters Gail (Ted) Kruta, Strathcona, MN, April (Tom) Kasprowicz, Wannaska, MN; aunts Norma Walton, Middle River, MN, Mamie Lien, Pisek, ND, and Betty Lien of Grafton, ND; special mother-in-law Marion Davidson, Holt, MN; sisters-in-law Shelvie (Bruce) Anderson, Duluth, MN, and Sharon (Steve) Holmstrom, Holt, MN; brother-in-law Jeff (Debbie) Davidson, Newfolden, MN, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents Ernest and Elsie Ryba; father-in-law Milton Davidson, and son-in-law Mike Nelson.
