Sharon Lenay Garfve was born on May 31, 1965 in Newfolden, MN, the daughter of Harlan and Arlette (Brekkestran) Garfve. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and attended school in Newfolden, graduating from Newfolden High School.

Sharon and Scotty Torgerson were married in Sisseton, South Dakota on February 24, 1986. Sharon and Scotty made their home in rural Grygla, Beltrami County until her untimrly death due to a four-wheller accident on May 1st at their home near Grygla.

Sharon will never be forgotten by her family and friends, she was a friend to all, and happy in all kinds of weather. Her laughter could be heard wherever she went, and she was the most beloved mother and wife to her husband, Scott and children. We will miss you forever my love

Sharon and Scott had two girls together, Cally, who is twelve and Emily, who is ten. Sharon was a wonderful stepmother to Scotts three children, Courtney and husband Robert Basil of Minneapolis, MN, Joshua and his wife Kelly of Minneapolis, MN and Kayla Creger of Bemidji, MN. Sharon was the proud grandmother of Olivia Grace Torgerson, born on August 19 to Josh and his wife Kelly. Sharon is also survived by brothers, Duke Garfve and his wife Wendy of Warren, MN, Roger Garfve and his wife Bobbi Jo of Newfolden, MN; sisters, Tina Garfve of Newfolden, MN, Angie and her husband Joel Weyer of Remer, MN and Sharlene Tostrup of Viking, MN; her father, Harlan and his wife Beaty of Newfolden, MN; mother, Arlette and her husband Laurel of Greenbush, MN; also many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters in law: Delores (Douglas) Nomeland of Thief River Falls, MN, Lill (Harvey) Lund of Thief River Falls, Mn, Opal (Curtis) Torgerson of Grygla, MN, Douglas (Linda) Torgerson of Grygla, MN, and Carter (Linda) Torgerson of Grygla, MN; mother-in-law, Violet Olufson of Grygla, MN; uncles, Arvin, Earl, Melroy, Galen, Wndell and Dwight Brekkestran; aunts: Erma, Bonnie and Lynnell, also Sandra Larson and Barbara Benke.

She was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles; grandma and granpa, Bella and Hjalmer Garfve; and father-in-law, Tellef Torgerson.
