Sherman Jones of Emerado, ND, formerly of Goodridge, MN age 43 died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM with a 3:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Rev. Robert Dahlen will officiate. Burial will follow at Goodridge Cemetery in Goodridge, MN. Sherman Dean Jones was born on August 23, 1972 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Wallace and Janice (Warne) Jones. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN. Sherman graduated from Goodridge High School in 1991. Sherman worked many different jobs and especially enjoyed working with small engines. He enjoyed playing pool, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He never let things bother him when he was in a pickle. As kids, Sherman loved playing football in the snow with his brothers! He will be remembered for his happy, go-lucky personality. Sherman married Carmen Perez in Thief River Falls, MN. To this union two daughters were born. They have lived in Grand Forks, ND for the last few years. Survivors include his wife, Carmen of Emerado, ND; loving mother, Janice (Keith) DeLong of Goodridge, MN; brothers, Gary Jones of Fosston, MN, Brian (Christy) Jones of Crescent, OK, Bruce (Sandy) Jones of Thief River Falls, MN; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace; brothers, Harlan, Wallace, Jr. and AlRay; and grandparents.
