Shirley Hamilton, 82, of Thief River Falls, formerly of IL, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
A visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. A prayer service will be held at 7 P.M.
Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elmwood, IL.
Shirley Hamilton was born on February 27, 1926 in Elmira, New York to Louis and Frances (Vosburg) Wagner. After graduating from high school she attended and was one of the first students to graduate from the LPN program at Delhi College in Delhi, NY. She was united in marriage to John D. Hamilton in St. Louis, MO.
Shirley was fond of collecting Blue Willow dishware and crocheting Afghans. She was a much loved mother and grandmother enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Hammond, IL and the Blue Willow Collectors Club.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Vicky (Rodney) Mosher of Grygla; grandchildren John and Kelsey Mosher of Grygla; brother Stanley (Grace) Wagner of Palm Beach Gardens; sister Virginia Wildrick of Palm Beach Gardens as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband John in 2000; brothers, Louis, Bill, and Richard; and sister Doris.
