Stacy Gjovik-Gamet, 41, of Idaho, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN died in Idaho on January 6, 2013. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls with Pastor Allen Zak Officiating. Burial will be held in Karlstad in the Spring. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday. Stacy was born to Sandra Gjovik in Thief River Falls, Minnesota on April 27, 1971. She attended Knox Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and graduated from Lincoln High School of Thief River Falls, MN in 1989. During High School she worked at Hydra Mac in Thief River Falls, MN. After graduation she worked at Carol's Cafe in Thief River Falls, MN, Jeannie's Restaurant in Grand Forks, ND from 1989 to 1993. Then moved to Fargo, ND working for Qwest Communications, and also was a Food Critic till 1996 then on to Boise, Idaho working for Qwest Communications. In the winter of 1996-97 Stacy was sent back to Fargo, ND for a short time to help Qwest Customers during the flood, and helped sandbag along with her friends. While working at Qwest, Stacy met Jeff Gamet and on August 16, 2003, the couple was united in marriage in Boise, Idaho. Stacy especially enjoyed collecting Coke memorabilia, the outdoors with Jeff in the mountains of Idaho, cooking with friends/family, and spending time with her step-children. While employed by Qwest Communications she went on long term disability due to degenerative disc disease. In 2009 they made their home in Moyie Springs, Idaho where she resided until her death. Stacy is survived and mourned by her husband, Jeffrey Gamet of Moyie Springs, Idaho, her Father and Mother-in-law, Ronnie and Mary Gamet of Bonners Ferry, ID, her step son Jeffrey James Gamet of Moyie Springs, Idaho, her step daughter Kristina Gamet Hynes and her grandchild Nicole of Davenport, Iowa, her brother-in-law Daniel Gamet of Bonners Ferry, her sister-in-law Sherry Distefano and two daughters, Gill Ranalls and Lori Ragan of Colorado, her sister-in-law Debra Creutzberg , husband William of Idaho and three children, Kyle, Ashley, and Bailey. Uncles and Aunts of Stacy, Jerry & Roxan Anderson of Big Lake, MN, Curtis Anderson of Afton, MN, Don & Becky Anderson of Karlstad, MN, and Rod & Judy Braaten of Fargo, ND; Cousins Jennifer, Kelly, Tracy, Shawn, Kim and Chad and their families. Stacy's best friends from Thief River Falls, MN include Gwen Flom and son Taylor, Cherrie (Scott) Asleson, and with many other friends. Stacy was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all, especially by her loving husband and step-children, Jeffrey James Gamet and Kristina Gamet Hynes, whom Stacy adored. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra (Anderson) Selstad of Thief River Falls, MN in 1996 and her grandparents, Lawrence and Gay Anderson from Karlstad, MN
