Obituary

Stacy Jo Wightman, Thief River Falls, MN, age 48, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Bruce Fisher officiating. Stacy Jo Kjellberg was born on September 30, 1964 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of John and Ardelle (Oswald) Kjellberg. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith. Stacy attended Northrup Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1983. She then attended Northland College in Thief River Falls and graduated in 1991with her LPN degree and in 1994 graduated with her RN degree. On August 15, 1992, Stacy was united in marriage to Bill Wightman at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls and the couple continued to live in Thief River Falls. Stacy worked at the hospital in Thief River Falls which is now known as Sanford Hospital for over 20 years. For the first 15 years, Stacy worked as a Medical-Surgical nurse and for the remainder of her career; she worked as an Office Specialist. Throughout Stacy's career as a nurse, she brought compassion, love and knowledge to all of her patients and their families that she cared for. Stacy loved raising her kids alongside her husband Bill and watching them grow into young adultsshe was very, very proud of them! Stacy loved to camp and go fishing with her family at Buffalo Bay and spend time together at the hunting cabin west of Thief River Falls. She also enjoyed yard work, watching the Vikings & Prowler Hockey, playing cribbage, working with flowers, watching her son play baseball, and going shopping with her daughter. Stacy was one who always put everyone's wants and needs ahead of her own. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls. The family of Stacy Wightman would like to thank all of her loving family and friends at this very difficult time. The gifts of flowers, food, phone calls, memorials and kind words are greatly appreciated and we feel blessed with your generosity. No thank you cards will be sent due to the overwhelming show of support. She will be greatly missed by those left behind. We love you always and forever! Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Bill of Thief River Falls; children, Melissa (Roger) Nale and Stacy's granddaughter, Briella Nale born on October 1, 2012 (who Stacy & Brittney got to see in November) of Fallbrook, CA, Brittney Wightman and Jacob (Beth Philipp) Wightman; mother, Ardelle Kjellberg Parker all of Thief River Falls; brother, Scott (Lori) Kjellberg of St. Joseph, MN; nephew, Rocky Altepeter and his son, Trenton of Thief River Falls; father & mother-in-law, Bill & Judy Wightman of Emerson, MB; sisters-in-law, Shelly (Jeff) Rodewald, Julie (Carl) Ostberg, Brandie (Tim) Lazaruk all of Manitoba; she is also survived by many other relatives, many dear friends, and her beloved family pets. She is preceded in death by her father, John "Jack" in 1998; and her grandparents.
