Stanley A. Sasiadek, Jr., age 69, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with his loving family at his side.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Service chapel in Thief River Falls, MN. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.   Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM on Saturday and continue until the time of service at Johnson Funeral Service.

Stanley Adair Sasiadek Jr. was born on September 2, 1946 in Chicago, IL to Stanley Sr. and Felice Sasiadek. Stanley spent his adolescent years in Lake Villa, IL. When Stanley was a teenager his family relocated to the Kennett Square, PA and Willowdale, PA areas. He graduated from Unionville High School in 1964. During his high school years, he met his future wife, Lois Parks, and they were married on October 18, 1965. They made their home in Kennett Square, PA until Stanley was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1966. He was stationed in Fort Gordon, GA where their daughter Lisa was born. Following an honorable discharge on September 25, 1968, Stanley and Lois returned to Kennett Square, PA. It was here that their second daughter, Shelah, was born.

Stanley worked in barbering and banking for several years, and completed 30 years of service at Quebecor World (US) Inc., a printing corporation, in 2009. Upon retirement, he and his wife Lois moved to Thief River Falls, MN. He began working for Cenex part-time, a position which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Stanley enjoyed being with his family and friends, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Stanley was known for his smile and outgoing personality. He never knew a stranger. Throughout his battle with cancer over the last year, his strong faith, positive outlook, and humble spirit touched many people's hearts. His life and legacy will continue to inspire many.

Stanley is survived by his loving wife Lois Sasiadek, Thief River Falls, MN; daughters, Lisa (Mark) Benjamin, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Shelah (Thomas) Simpson, Thief River Falls, MN;  and five grandchildren, Bradley Vattilana,  Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Wade Simpson, Grand Forks, ND,  Wyatt Simpson, Natalie Simpson, and Wesley Simpson, all of Thief River Falls, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Sasiadek, Sr. and Felice Walters, and stepfather Carl Walters.
