Stanley Ranum, 83, died Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Stanley Ranum was born December 14, 1921 on a farm near Wannaska, MN, the son of Alfred and Hulda (Johnson) Ranum. Stanley was happily married to Violet Senum for sixty years. He worked as a carpenter and contractor for sixty years.

Stanley enjoyed life and being with family and friends.

Stanley is survived by his by his beloved wife, Violet of Plummer, MN; one son, Roger Ranum of Plummer, MN; three daughters: Jane (Robert) Anenson of Mounds View, MN, Sandy (Larry) Anenson of St. Hilaire, MN and Susan (Bob) Brekke of Plummer, MN; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brothers: Lloyd Ranum and Sidney Ranum, both of Viking, MN; sisters: Elsie Hodik of Warren, MN and Isabelle Krohn of Willmar, MN; step brothers; Oscar (Bud) and Oral; step-sister, Marceline Grundhaus; and half sisters, Delores Forland and Margaret Lind.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Virgil; sisters: Florence and Alice; brothers, Knut, Johnny, Sanford and Glenn; and step brother, Maynard.
