Stella Thomas, 98, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center, CNC Unit, Thief River Falls, MN.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Stella Borgen was born July 9, 1907, in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Louis and Mary Louise (Alrich) Borgen. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. Stella grew up and attended school in Thief River Falls.

On November 9, 1928, Stella was united in marriage to Evart Thomas at Thief River Falls. Stella had been employed by Land O Lakes Dairy as an egg candler and worked there many years and retired from there. She lived on the 500 block of Tindolph Avenue, then the High Rise, Valley Home and CNC Unit of Northwest Medical Center since 1997.

Stella was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. She enjoyed coffee time with her friends, playing cards and gardening.

Stella is survived by 2 nieces, Alyce Geske and Mickey (Sam) Honebrink all of Thief River Falls, MN and other nieces and nephews from Washington, North Dakota and Minnesota.

Preceded in death by husband Evart in 1969, parents, brothers, John, Fred, Lawrence, Ben, George, Marvin, Bill and Ed, sisters, Minnie Geske, Bertha Hanson and Florence Vevea.
