Stephanie Votava, 34, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Sunday June 13, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND, with her family by her side.

The memorial service to celebrate Stephanie's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Rick Lambert presiding.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Stephanie Lee Votava was born November 29, 1986 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Ward Jr. and Sharon (Albin) Votava.  She was baptized at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls.  She attended school in Thief River Falls graduating from Lincoln High School with the class of 2005.

Following high school Stephanie worked as a CNA at various nursing homes.  She also worked at various other places throughout her life.

Stephanie participated in gymnastics and Girl Scouts as a child.  She enjoyed camping, family vacations, fishing, going to the county fair, hunting with her father, and making new friends wherever she went.  Stephanie had a passion for all animals.

Stephanie is survived by her mother, Sharon of Thief River Falls, MN; sisters, Allison (Vincent Rushman) True of Thief River Falls, MN, and Julie (Darrel) Peterson of Middle River, MN; nieces, Kristi True of Thief River Falls, MN, Jayden Peterson of Middle River, MN, and Zoey Rushman of Thief River Falls, MN; nephews Thomas (Kia) True of Killeen, TX and Dallas Peterson of Middle River, MN; great-nephew, Drakeson True of Thief River Falls, MN; several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ward Votava Jr.; grandparents, Ward and Celaine Votava Sr. and John and Maraget Albin.
