Obituary

Steven Ray McPherson, 59, of Oklee, MN passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his residence with his loving family at his side.

A private gathering time for family will be held at Clover Chapel near Clearbrook, MN.

Steven Ray McPherson was born on April 3, 1958 in Minot, ND the son of Neltson and June (Holmes) McPherson.  He was baptized into the catholic faith.  The family lived in different locations including Minot, Shelly, ID, Idaho Falls, ID and Lincoln City, OR.

Following school, Steven entered into service with the United States Army and was deployed to Germany.  He was Honorably Discharged on July 14, 1978.  He returned to live in Oregon where he was married for eight years.  Steven moved to Red Lake, MN to be closer to his parents where he cooked in their restaurant and helped his mother.

While living in Bemidji, MN Steven went to work dealing black jack at the casino near Leech Lake.  He eventually became the Table Games Manager at Seven Clans Casino in Red Lake and Thief River Falls where he has worked for the past 19 years.  He was dedicated to his job with excellent work ethic.

In 2007, Steven met online Antoniette Amores and the couple were married on January 22, 2010 in the Philippines.  They made their home in Oklee, MN along with Antoniette's two children, Ric Ven Anthony Auman and Mary Angelique Auman.

Steven enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling.  He was sensitive to people's emotions and was the type of person that sees the good in an individual.

Survivors include his loving wife, Antoniette and her two children, Ric and Angel of Oklee, MN; siblings, Wayne McPherson of Castle Rock, WA, Neltson McPherson Jr. of Portland, OR, Duaine McPherson of Myrtle Creek, OR, Marlene "Sammi" McPherson of Waldport, OR, and Madora Erno of Clearbrook, MN; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and "big brother" Duaine McPherson.
