Steven Taie, 58, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Thief River Care center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 1 PM, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Gary Barrett officiating. Burial will be at Moose River Cemetery, Gatzke, MN.

Visitation will be 11 AM-1 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls.

Steven L. Taie was born December 8, 1952 at Roseau, MN, the son of Louis and Marcella (Mortrud) Taie. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Gatzke. He attended Gatzke Elementary School and Middle River High School.

In February of 1992, Steven was united in marriage to Brenda Endicott.

He was employed at Air Ex-changers in Tulsa, OK and various other jobs until health reasons forced him to retire. He returned to Thief River Falls in the fall of 2010.

Steven loved fishing, barbecuing and spending time with his family and loving dogs.

He is survived by brothers and sisters, Randy Taie, Strandquist, MN, Pam (Jeff) Ingeman, Kennedy, MN; nephews, Chad (Lindsay) Ingeman, Park Rapids, MN, Ryan Ingeman, Grand Forks, ND, niece, Jamie Ingeman, Grand Forks, ND, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Glenda Endicott, Claremore, OK; step children, Butch Hough and Jeff Endicott both of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Annie Hough, Bixby, OK; and special friends, Rose Nelson, Claremore, OK and Jeff Lindsey of Tulsa, OK.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda in May of 2010 and parents, Louis and Marcella Taie.
