Sybil Radniecki, 90, died Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Crosby, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Monday, September 13, 2004 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Oklee, MN, with Father John Kleinwachter presiding. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Plummer, MN.
Visitation will be 6 " 8 PM, Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Johnson Funeral Service, Oklee, MN, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Sybil Inez Bremseth was born on January 28, 1914, in Petersburg, ND, the daughter Gilbert and Bessie (Sample) Bremseth. There were 12 in the family. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith and attended school in Petersburg and Lambert, ND. Her family moved to California and Sybil stayed in North Dakota.
Sybil was united in marriage to Stanley O. Radniecki in 1937. The couple made their home north of Oklee for many years, where she enjoyed being a housewife and raising their children. Sybil was very active helping on the family farm. Stanley died in 1973. Following her husbands death Sybil did cake decorating and catering with her sister, LaVonne. Sybil moved to Brainerd, MN in 1980, she later moved lived into assisted living in Brainerd and then Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Home in Pine River. She moved to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center, Crosby, MN, on January 5, 2004.
Sybil was a member of the Valley Vagavons Band for 27 years, where she played the saxophone and sang. Sybil loved dancing, gardening, bowling. She was also an excellent cook, who made wonderful lefse.
She was a member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee and also a past member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Plummer, where she had served on both of the churches Ladies Aids. She was also a member of the Eagles.
Sybil is survived by two children: Stan (Joanna) Radniecki of Lake Shore, MN and Patrick (Beverly) Radniecki of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents; brothers and sisters:
