Tamera "Tami" Ione Trontvet, 61, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021, surrounded by her family at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral Services will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Johnson Funeral Chapel, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN, following the service.

Tami was born on March 12, 1960, to Leroy and Ione (Markuson) Johnsrud at Thief River Falls, MN.  Tami was baptized on May 22, 1960, at Ekelund Lutheran Church, Goodridge, MN.  Tami attended elementary and high school at Goodridge, graduating in 1978.  In 1982, Tami joined United States Army, serving primarily in Germany.  She was honorably discharged on April 6, 1985.

Tami returned to Thief River Falls and began working at Johnson's Boarding Home, caring for those who need care.  It was there she met her future husband, David Trontvet.  They were married November 29, 1986, at Evangelical Free Church, Thief River Falls, MN.  They were blessed to raise four children—Beth, Leah, Katie, and Phillip.  She began working at Digi-Key working there until about 2005.  For the next several years, she lived in East Grand Forks, MN.

Tami was an easy-going, fun to be with, and adventurous person.  She enjoyed gardening and being outside, interior decorating, and cooking for family and friends.  Spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren, was a joy to her.  Together, they played games and assembled puzzles and crossword puzzles, and watching lifetime movies.  She was passionate about watching the Minnesota Vikings.  Tami had a strong faith in God and liked to read the Bible.

Tami is survived by her daughters, Beth (Ricardo Pride) Johnsrud, Richmond, VA, Leah (Sean-Tom) Garry, Brainard, MN, Katie Trevino, Thief River Falls, MN, and one son, Phillip Trontvet, Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren—Layla Burton, Ava Trontvet, Valerie and Azariah Trevino; Siblings, Lynae (Glen) Nesland, Thief River Falls, MN, Danny (Theresa) Johnsrud, Goodridge, MN, Larry (Sue) Johnsrud, Goodridge, MN; several aunts, uncle, nephews, and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ione Johnsrud.
