Teresa Marie Johnson, age 39 of Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away at the St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge on June 7, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Greg Schram officiating.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.

Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church.

Teresa Marie Johnson was born on February 10, 1976 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Richard and Marlene (Peterson) Johnson.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.  Teresa graduated from Lincoln High School in 1994.

Following high school Teresa pursued a career in nursing, receiving both her LPN and RN degree from Northland Community College.  She worked in several areas including long-term care, mental health, and critical care nursing.  Teresa loved to teach and share her profession as an instructor for nursing clinicals.  She was currently employed at St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge, MN.

Teresa's greatest joy in life was her daughter, Cadence.  Cadence Rose Johnson was born on June 11, 2011. Cadence brightens any moment with her lively expressions and colorful stories. Teresa delighted in sharing that sunshine with those that she knew.

Teresa was an outgoing, fun-loving person.  You could recognize the sound of her laughter anywhere.  Always ready for adventure, she lived life on her own terms, often throwing caution to the wind.  Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family at the lake cabin.  Teresa loved her friends and her friends meant the world to her.

Teresa is survived by her daughter, Cadence Johnson and her father, Chad Pikarski of Wahpeton, ND; mother, Marlene of Thief River Falls, MN; brothers and sisters, Michael of Wichita, KS, Mitchell (Colleen) of O'Fallon, IL, Michaun (Gordon) Shetler of Harrisburg, SD, Maureen (Greg) Monson of Grygla, MN; nephews and nieces, Tyler and Ethan Shetler, Alaina and Elise Monson; grandmother, Lois Peterson of Thief River Falls, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Preceding Teresa in death are her father, Richard; grandfather, Cyrus Peterson; grandparents, Earl and Dorothy Johnson; aunt, Joan Kruger; uncles, Wayne Johnson, Mark Swanson, and Curtis Pals; great-uncle and great-aunt, Leonard and Ardith Jensen, and her cousin Lowell Halfaday.
