Terrance "Terry" Loeffler, 57, of Grand Forks, ND died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Halma, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, 5 - 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at St. Bernard's Catholic Church and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Terrance "Terry" Scott Sebastian Loeffler was born on May 13, 1957 the son of Francis Henry and Pearl Adeline (Hallebrot) Loeffler. He was baptized in the Catholic Faith at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN, and was confirmed in Pembina, ND. He attended school in Thief River Falls graduating from Pembina High School in 1975. He attended Northland Community and Technical College pursuing a degree in Business. In October 1981, he was united in marriage to Laurie Kachena at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thief River Falls, MN. To this union, four children were born: Kyle, Chad, Christopher, and Jessica. He worked at Jack Woods Brokerage in Pembina through high school. He also worked with his father at Loeffler Redi-Mix in Hallock, MN. Terry owned and operated Loeffler Trucking throughout the 1980's until 1991, when he purchased Loeffler Concrete and Gravel with operations in Hallock and Halma. In the late 1990's he purchased The Joliette Truckstop in Joliette, ND. During the later years of his life, he continued to expand and improve his gravel business. Terry enjoyed operating and rebuilding heavy equipment, muscle cars, and Chevy pick-ups. He also enjoyed music of the 50's & 60's and time spent in the company of friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Adeline of Hallock, MN; Children, Kyle Scott Loeffler of Thompson, ND, Chad Allyn Loeffler of Virginia Beach, VA, and twins Christopher Jay Loeffler of Fargo, ND and Jessica Lynn Loeffler of Moorhead, MN; former spouse, Laurie Loeffler; siblings, Monica (Gerald) O'Hara of San Diego, CA, Patricia Hutchinson of Grand Forks, ND, Michael (Susan) Loeffler of Fort Worth, TX, Rosalie (Ken) Loeffler-Kemp of Duluth, MN, Karen (Dan) Carpenter of Warroad, MN, Colleen (Mick) Lind of Sartell, MN, and Bryan (Sherri) Loeffler of Grand Prairie, TX; uncles, George Simenson and Elgin Loeffler, along with several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and cousins. Terry is preceded in death by his father, Francis, brothers, Kevin and Jonathan, and grandparents, Mary and Joseph Loeffler and Ole and Carrie Hallebrot.
