Terry Demarais, 50, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 PM, Friday, March 23, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake Falls.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 5-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Service, Red Lake Falls, MN with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church Friday.
Terry Dean Demarais was born February 8, 1957 at Red Lake Falls, MN, the son of Leonard Nig and Dora (Bratton) Demarais. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Josephs Church, Red Lake Falls and attended St. Josephs Catholic School. He graduated from Lafayette High School, Red Lake Falls in 1975 and then attended school for 2 years in Staples, MN as machinist.
In July of 1981, Terry was united in marriage to Paula Riendeau at Gentilly, MN. He was employed at Tol-o-matic in Minneapolis, MN as machinist. He moved back to Red Lake Falls in 1998 and in August of 2006, he moved to Fosston, MN, where he has since resided.
Terry liked to watch and play hockey and generally any sports. He loved music, playing the drums and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by children: Sheila Demarais, St. Cloud, MN and Lori Demarais, Rogers, MN; the mother of his children: Paula, Rogers, MN; brothers and sisters: Mary (Terry) Demarais Lundon, Crookston, MN, Donna (Mike) Parenteau, Walla Walla, WA, Russell (Sue) Demarais, Twin Valley, MN, Tony Demarais, Fargo, ND, Ben Camp, Tucson, AZ, Carol (Barry) Dockken, Portland, OR; along with many nieces and nephews.
Terry is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Dwayne and Leonard and a nephew, Danny.
Terrys family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers.
