Timothy Zutz, 55, died Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.
Timothy Charles Zutz was born July 7, 1949 at Crookston, MN, the son of Louis and Frieda (Busse) Zutz. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. He grew up and attended school in Red Lake Falls. On January 27, 1969, he joined the United States Navy. Timothy was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Service Medal. He was honorably discharged on November 19, 1970. Following his discharge he became employed with Elk River Concrete, Crookston, MN. Tim worked the last 27 years for Red Lake County as a road grader operator. He did part time work for Dan Jolly Trucking.
In February of 1976, Timothy was united in marriage to Vickie Harmoning in Red Lake Falls, MN.
He was a life member of VFW, Thief River Falls and 49rs Union. Timothy enjoyed camping, fishing, ice-fishing, deer hunting, 4-wheeling and outdoor activities, but mostly he enjoyed spending time on the family farm.
Survived by fiance, Deb Wilmot, Red Lake Falls, MN; children, Shane (Mya) Zutz and Paula (Jared) Comstock all Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Tayton and Gunner; brothers and sisters, Janet (Jerome) Skjerping, Thief River Falls, MN, Betty (Bud) Kruse, St. Hilaire, MN, Lolly (Norbert) Pastir, Roseau, MN, Karen (Bill) Philion, Minot, ND, Connie (Larry) Kennedy, Grand Forks, ND, Margie Walters, Atlanta, GA, Hal (Nona) Zutz, Grand Forks, ND and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, brother, Louis Zutz Jr., niece, Patty Kruse and brother-in-law, Jim Walters.
