Obituary

Travis Harbott, 41, of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident.

The service to celebrate Travis' life will be at 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Travis Del Harbott was born June 9, 1980 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Rick Harbott and Nancy Porter-Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. He attended Washington Elementary, Franklin Middle School and Lincoln High School graduating with the class of 1998. Travis then attended Moorhead Technical College where he earned an Electrical Degree.

On October 5, 2002, Travis was united in marriage to Tanya Nesland at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. To this union two wonderful children were born, Ella Ione "Bear" and Cash Richard Del "Dino" or "Cashman".

Travis worked for Bergstrom Electric for a few years.  He then went to work for Jim Fisher at Fisher Electric and eventually purchased the business in 2011. Travis was a very talented electrician who could handle any project and was very mechanically inclined. He would tackle anything. He did residential and commercial service for the Thief River Falls area and especially enjoyed service work at Digi-Key Electronics.

Travis enjoyed his free time with family and friends and had a special bond with his brother, Tommy. He loved cruising with the music turned up loud, seat laid back, window down without a care in the world. He also enjoyed outdoor concerts including WE Fest, Moondance Jam Classic Rock Festival and Kickin' Up Country to name a few. Deer hunting with his Dad, brother and immediate family was very important. His favorite sayings that he lived by:  "living the dream", "it is what it is" and "just don't worry about it".

Travis' most important part of his life were his kids Ella and Cash! He built zip-lines, racetracks in the woods to keep his kids off their electronics. He also enjoyed ice fishing in his SnowBear with his son, Cash and he praised his daughter Ella for being so much like his Grandma Thora with her housecleaning and cooking. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews. Travis is a man who was loving, caring, always there for his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone "if he had time just add it to the list." He loved starting a project and never completing that project, including the electrical end of his Dad's cabin.
