Urho Woodrow Hill was born September 17, 1912, at Plummer, MN, the son of Gjalmer and Marie (Maki) Hill. He grew up in rural Plummer, on the family farm and attended country school. He went into farming with his father.
In 1931, Urho was united in marriage to Marion Berg. The couple made their home Northeast of Plummer, MN. He milked cows and farmed his whole life. He has been a resident of Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, since 1999.
He loved to read and watch football of which he was a strong Green Bay Packer fan and was a Minnesota Twins Fan.
Survived by 2 daughters, Joyce (Albert) Gervais, Red Lake Falls, MN and Jean Harbott, Minneapolis, MN; 2 sons, Arnold (Irene) Hill, Belton, TX and Leonard (Merna) Hill, Sun City, CA; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Helen Stagid, Seattle, WA and Ann Stodalowski, Minneapolis, MN; brother, Wayne (Lorraine) Hill, Minneapolis, MN.
Preceded in death by wife, Marion, parents, daughter, Yvonne Blokzal, sister, Sylvia Magnell, 4 brothers, Matt, Hugo, John and Al.
