Velina Grandbois, 95, Red Lake Falls, MN died Sunday, March 04, 2007 at Riverview Hospital, Crookston, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, April 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Church, Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until time of services in the church.

Velina Mary LaPlante was born September 15, 1911 in Red Lake Falls, MN and was raised there. She married Harvey Joseph Grandbois in Red Lake Falls. She lived her whole life in Red Lake Falls; she had jobs at the Bakery and also Lois Helm Ladies Apparel. Velina was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active in the guild. She was a woman of faith and prayer.

Velina is survived by 5 children, Joyce G. Hnilicka of Freehold, NJ, Dale (Ruth) Grandbois of Madison, TN, Dora Mae Stone of Columbia Heights, MN, Gerald (Ruth) Grandbois of St. Charles, MN and Largo, FL, and Allen Lee Grandbois of Tucson, AZ; 16 grandkids; 22 great grandkids; 2 great great grandkids; and one sister, Muriel Berguson of Forest Lake, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dora (Rovillard) LaPlante; husband, Harvey; 3 brothers, Willard, Maurice and Raymond; and one great granddaughter.
