Vena Scheuring, 91, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Friday, January 1, 1998 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 4, 1999 at 2:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Tim Bushy officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 3 " 7 PM with a 5:00 PM prayer service and Rosary at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Vena Latendresse was born February 23, 1907 at Red Lake Falls daughter of the late Majoric and Hobeline (Grenier) Latendresse, where she was raised and attended school. Her mother passed away when Vena was very young and she took care of her brothers. On April 7, 1947 she was united in marriage to Bernard Scheuring in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple lived in Red Lake Falls. He passed away July 4, 1986. Vena entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home January 13, 1997 and has resided there since.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Guild. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, music and gardening and the last years she enjoyed visiting and meeting people at the casino.
Vena is survived by her son Ben Scheuring (Jan) of Fargo, ND: two granddaughters Heather Schroeder of Blaine, MN and Dawn Scheuring of Camden, MI: two step-grandchildren Cathy Thompson of Moorhead, MN and Mark Farol of Ewa Beach, HI: two great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren and her brother Dave Latendresse of Red Lake Falls and sister in law Clara Deschene of Red Lake Falls, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Leo Latendresse.
