Vernon Rogalla, 88 of Goodridge, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Goodridge, MN with Father Bryan Kujawa presiding. Burial will be at Goodridge Community Cemetery, Goodridge.
Vernon Stanley Rogalla was born May 7, 1934 in Pulaski Township, ND, the son of Steve and Eleanor (Greskowiak) Rogalla. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND and attended rural country school and St. Anthony Parochial School. Vernon worked on his parent's farm, Armour Company and Pillsbury Company, both in Grand Forks, ND. Vernon has also been a self-employed farmer and owner since 1955.
Vernon was united in marriage to Audrey Rolczynski, August 31, 1955 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw.
Vernon was a self-taught accordion musician who furnished lots of good listening and dance music for many years for dances and on a volunteer basis at nursing homes, meetings, city of Thief River Falls and conventions. He was also a dedicated farmer and received County Awards for good conservation and beautification practices.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church Men's Club, Goodridge Lions Club and was on the Cenex Board from 1979 to 2003.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Audrey Ann (Rolczynski) Rogalla, Goodridge, MN; children: Alan (Kelly) Rogalla, Thief River Falls, MN, Denise Joyal, Oak Island, NC, Roger Rogalla, Goodridge, MN, Bernadette (Douglas) Lesser, Savage, MN, Robert (Julie) Rogalla, Milaca, MN, Leon (Kristi) Rogalla, St. Paul, MN, and Mary (Bob) Jones, Bagley, MN; grandchildren: Owen Mayorga, John (Cassandra) Demarais, Alyssa Rogalla, Lauren (Chad) Dziengel and Robert Rogalla, Denver (Jenna) Rogalla, Jason (Mayda) Rogalla and Jordy Rogalla, Shelby and Nickolas Lesser, and Grace, Lukas and Jackson Jones; great-grandchildren, Alora and Evangeline Cass, Landon, Hudson and Easton Rogalla, Zane and Lydia Demarais; brother, Marcell (Geraldine) Rogalla, Detroit Lakes, MN; and sister, Seline Narlock, Alvarado, MN; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers-in-law, Andrew Narlock, DeWayne Nelson and Frank Borowicz; and nephew, Cory Rogalla.
