Viann Vi Hanson, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at her lake home on Lake of the Woods.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Reverend Gary Graff officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday evening. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.
Viann Vi Jonas Lizotte was born on March 30, 1934 in Red Lake Falls, MN, the daughter of John and Violet (Audette) Lizotte. She attended Huot School for six years and Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls. Vi married Joseph Moran on November 27, 1951. The couple lived near Huot where they raised their family. Joe passed away on November 14, 1984. Vi was united in marriage to Al Hanson on December 31, 2000 and the couple have resided in Red Lake Falls since
She was employed in Housekeeping at the Hospital in Red Lake Falls for a time. Vi enjoyed gardening, cooking, summer and winter fishing, quilting, visiting with family and friends and going to Hostfest and listening to Country Music. She also enjoyed her lake home at Lake of the Woods and wintering in Arizona for 14 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Red Lake Falls.
Vi is survived by her husband, Al of Red Lake Falls, MN; children, Edward Moran of Red Lake Falls, MN, Mary (Al) Maier, Nathan, Nicholas & Kelly of Jamestown, ND, Francis (Deb) Moran Carmen, Shaun & Sarah of Red Lake Falls, MN, Pam Paul, Jarrod & Ryan of Scottsdale, AZ, Roger (Pam) Moran, Dustin, Chelsey & Abby of Svea, MN, Perry Moran of Scottsdale, AZ and Andy Moran of Red Lake Falls, MN; great grand children, Austin, Ty, Adrienne, Caleb and Alex; brother, Darrell (Darlene) Lizotte of Stanwood, WA, sisters, Valarie LaChance of Sedro Woolley, WA, Cindy (James) Gauthier of Sedro Woodley, WA; Al's children, Jill (Kurt) Roe, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Alexandria of Blue Earth, MN and Mark (Joelynn) Hanson, Ryan, Dustin and Julia of Forest Lake, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph; her son, Bryan Moran on December 26, 2009 and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
