On May 28, 1977 Vicki was united in marriage to Eddie S. Amiot at Wesley United Methodist Church in Crookston. The couple made their home in Crookston and to this union there were three sons born: Christopher, Jason and Travis.

Music was a very big part of Vickis life. She played the guitar and sang and shared her music with various organizations. She also performed professionally at night clubs and private parties until 1992 when she was no longer able to perform because of illness.

She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston where she worked with the childrens choir. Vickis love for music was only surpassed by the love of her family.

In 1986 the family moved to the St. Cloud area where Vicki was Cub Scout Den Mother and Cub Scout Master in Clear Lake, MN with Troop 94 with her sons and husband, and was very active with her music career, and also worked at St. Cloud State University. On November 11, 1990 the family moved to Silver Bay, MN and Vicki worked for the MN Veterans Home for a short time. While living in Silver Bay, her love of nature led her to a career with the MN Dept. of Natural Resources at Temperance River State Park.

In June of 1993 Vicki transferred to Blue Mound State Park near Laverne, MN where she worked exclusively with the buffalo herd. In 1996 she transferred to Sibley State Park near Willmar, MN where the family lived and she worked as evening ranger. She became totally disabled in the spring of 1999 and the couple moved to Walker, MN where they have since resided.
