Viola B. Wettestead, 84, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Oakland Park Communities, Thief River Falls, MN.

Viola Vi B. (Roisland) Wettestead was born April 3, 1924 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Dreng and Mabel (Omdahl) Roisland. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN.

She was united in marriage to John Wettestead on September 02, 1949. They made their home in rural Thief River Falls. She enjoyed her many years of farming and all her numerous animals on the farm. She also enjoyed watching the deer and other various wildlife that frequented her farm. She was an avid supporter of the Pennington County Humane Society.

Vi is survived by one sister, Bess Lang and one brother, Marvin (Delores) Roisland and a sister-in-law, Irene Roisland, all of Thief River Falls, MN, many nieces and nephews and a very good friend, Doug Martell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, two sisters, Mert Wilson and Doris Roisland, three brothers, Oscar Roisland, Tom Roisland Sr., Frank Roisland, sister-in-law, Opal Roisland, two brothers-in-law, John Lang and Stan Wilson and two nephews, Steve Roisland and Greg Roisland.
