Obituary

Violet Marian Hruby was born on December 1, 1923 in Erie, MN the daughter of Benjamin and Rosalie (Edel) Hruby. She was baptized in Erie and confirmed in Plummer, MN and attended school in Goodridge, MN.

During World War II Vi worked in San Francisco, CA. On December 29, 1945 she was united in marriage to Al Radniecki. The couple made their home in Oklee, MN where she worked as a homemaker until later years when she cooked for the senior meals.

Vi took great pride in helping people who could not drive; giving rides and helping anyone in need. She was a very giving person, was a devoted mother and wife, and her house was always open with the coffee pot on.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Oklee, St. Anns Society, taught catechism for 20 years, and was active with the One Fund Drive and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include 3 sons, Dean (Angie) Radniecki of Hoyt Lakes, MN, Tony Radniecki of Fargo, ND, and Matt (Julie) Radniecki of New York Mills, MN; 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Trudy, Monica, Bob, Joe and Kiera; 3 great grandchildren, Joshua, Rebecca, and Benjamin; sisters, Addie Prevost of Oklee, MN, Delores Healy of San Mataio, CA, foster sister, Darlene (John) Eisbrener of Trail, MN; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Al; brothers, Louis and Rudolph; sisters, Frances Sunsdahl, Alice Parsons, Lillian Tanem, Rosie Aaknes, Louise Sanstrum.

Memorials are suggested to Elders Nursing Home in New York Mills, MN.
