Virginia Sauve, 81, of Red Lake Falls died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic church in Red Lake Falls with Father Chuck Huck officiating. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at Terrebonne, MN following the lunch in the church dining hall.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2008 from 5 - 8 PM with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Virginia Baril was born August 1, 1927 in Red Lake Falls daughter of the late Joseph and Rosanna (Falardeau) Baril. She was raised in Red Lake Falls and attended school in Red Lake Falls graduating from Lafayette High School in May of 1946.
On June 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to Dick Sauve. The couple lived at Terrebonne where they owned and operated as general store. Virginia worked at Artic Cat in Thief River Falls for several years and also at South Side in Red Lake Falls.
Virginia was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anne Society.
Virginia is survived by her 6 children; Gary Sauve of Crookston, MN, Gene Sauve of Red Lake Falls, MN, Jeffrey Sauve of Detroit Lakes, MN, Mike Sauve of Thief River Falls, MN, Connie (Tom) Morben of Lakewood, CO and Mary (Dean) Lizotte of Windsor, WI; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters Therese (Howard) Holz and Judy (Milton) Leikam both of Washington and one brother Jerome (Ellen) Baril also of Washington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick in 1996 and three brothers Bernard, Joey, and Tom; one sister Jeannette.
