Obituary

Vivian Farbo, 84, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Karlstad Health Center, Karlstad, MN.

Funeral service will be on Monday, December 3, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with June Young presiding. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

Vivian Lucille Martinson was born January 14, 1923 in Jupiter Township, east of Kennedy, MN the daughter of Elmer and Annie (Swenson) Martinson. She attended rural school and high school at Karlstad, MN, graduating in 1940.

On December 31, 1944, Vivian was united in marriage to David Stanley Farbo. To this union four children were born: Connie, Curtiss, Paul and Candace. The couple lived in Caribou Township for six years and then moved to the farm near Karlstad in 1952. They sold the farm in 1972 and moved to Thief River Falls, MN. Vivian moved to the Meadows in Karlstad, MN in August of 2007 and into the Karlstad Memorial Nursing Center on October 26, 2007.

Vivian enjoyed handiwork, sewing, baking and cooking, and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Vivian is survived by children: Connie (Jim) Englund, Karlstad, MN, Curtiss (Barbara) Farbo, Thief River Falls, MN, and Candy (Don) Kroll, Argyle, MN; grandchildren: Jamie (Kim) Englund, Christi (Dennis) Tweet, Cari (John) Vukmanich, and Robby (Jill) Farbo; great grandchildren: Cody, Ty and Kylie Englund, Dalton Tweet, Emma and Cora Vukmanich and Kale Farbo.

She is preceded in death by husband, David, on August 9, 2007; one son, Paul Farbo; sister Elrene ; and her parents.
