Wallace Pete Miller, 92, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at his home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2000 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Dennis Weiland Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Wallace Pete Miller was born June 27, 1907 in Red Lake Falls, MN son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Verbonceur) Miller. He attended both parochial and public schools in Red Lake Falls. After graduating from high school he joined his father in the barber business. On June 6, 1932 he was united in marriage to Florence Bendel in Red Lake Falls, MN. Pete served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked for Dutch Robertson for five years in the mens clothing store and then resumed barbering. Pete retired in 1969.
Pete served as a volunteer fireman for 20 years and was treasurer of St. Joseph Cemetery Board for 12 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Red Lake Falls. Pete enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and yard work.
He is survived by his wife Florence Miller in Red Lake Falls, MN; daughter Marilyn Miller of St. Paul, MN and son James Miller of Red Lake Falls, MN. One brother Ralph Miller of Lompoc, CA; and one sister Yvonne Freund of Grand Forks, ND: many nieces and nephews.
Pete is preceded in death by his sisters Beulah Dandurand, Elsie Drees and one brother Percy Miller.
