Walter J. Lambert was born July 7, 1913, in Lambert Township, MN, the son of Joseph A. and Marie Louise (Lambert) Lambert. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis Xavier Church, Oklee, MN. He grew up and attended country school in rural Oklee, MN.

On July 8, 1942, Walter was united in marriage to Evelyn Voxland at St. Francis Xavier Church, Oklee, MN. Walter worked construction and farmed until 1969 and he also worked at Arctic Cat until retirement in 1979. Walters greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family and especially his grandkids.

Survived by wife of 61 years, Evelyn; children: Jim (Carol), Emery, SD, Carolyn Bidleman, Seattle, WA, Patricia Ueland, St. Paul, MN, Irene (Harley) Danielson, Fargo, ND, Father Richard Lambert, Mahnomen, MN and Kay Lambert, Dilworth, MN; 10 grandchildren, Dawn (Chris) Connor, Jason (Megan) Lambert, Natalie (Pat) Price, Jeff (Julie) Ueland and Greg and Nick Ueland, Nichelle, Ryan and Steve Danielson, Matt Lambert and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by his parents, brother Omer, sisters Eldia Lambert, Florence Hince, Rebecca Charest, Eva Bruneau and an infant.
